oder: wie baut man mit Musik Schmuck/ or: how can music build jewellery

Das 14. ERFURTER SCHMUCKSYMPOSIUM begreift das kulturelle Jahresthema der Stadt Erfurt „Musik baut Brücken“ als Möglichkeit, sich interdisziplinär dem Schmuck zu nähern. Neben acht Schmuckkünstlern werden ein Bildhauer und Maler und ein Musiker am vierzehntägigen Symposium teilnehmen.
The 14th JEWELLERY SYMPOSIUM ERFURT takes the annual cultural motto of the city of Erfurt “Music Builds Bridges” as an opportunity to approach jewellery in an interdisciplinary manner. In addition to eight jewellery designers, a sculptor/painter and a musician participate in the 14-day event.

Was entsteht wenn Musik und Bildende Kunst aufeinander treffen?
What happens when music, fine and applied arts meet?

Die Ergebnisse werden ab 17. August 2012 in Erfurt zu sehen und hören sein.
Results will be shown from 17th August in Erfurt.

Das Symposium endet am 18. August mit einem Kolloquium mit Fach- und Künstlerbeiträgen.
The symposium will conclude with a colloquium of lectures and talks on 18th August.

Im Oktober 2012 ist das 14. ERFURTER SCHMUCKSYMPOSIUM zu Gast auf der Grassimesse in Leipzig und voraussichtlich anschließend, voraussichtlich Anfang 2013, in Frankfurt am Main.
In October 2012 the results of the 14th JEWELLERY SYMPOSIUM ERFURT will be shown at the Grassimesse in Leipzig and expected in Frankfurt/Main early 2013.
